After a violent run-in with a severely worse-for-wear Monty Gator, she winds up in Monty's Gator Golf, where she's presented with a strange mask.

You do have an opportunity to change your mind if you accidentally snub her, and even killing her can be reversed with a (very valuable) scroll of revivify, so think carefully about what you want to do in this situation. Once the tieflings are dealt with, you can speak to Lae’zel and offer an invitation to your party, or tell her you want nothing to do with her. You can also kill Lae’zel if you really want to, but as a fighter she is an invaluable addition to the party, especially early on when some of your other early potential companions are a rogue, a wizard, or a warlock. You have a couple of options here, convincing them to flee will prevent unnecessary bloodshed, and convincing them to deal with her immediately allows Lae’zel to join you in fighting her captors for a better chance at victory.
